Baku: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is co-organizing the Azerbaijan Halal Business Forum in Baku on October 7 and 8, 2025. According to Saudi Press Agency, the event is supported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and several OIC institutions, including the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries, the Standards and Metrology Institute for the Islamic Countries, and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The forum is themed "Halal Industry as a Source of Resilience in the Rapidly Changing World." The forum will bring together domestic and foreign representatives, experts, academics, and businesspeople to establish new partnerships in investment and trade and facilitate the exchange of ideas. Discussions will encompass traditional halal sectors, finance, tourism, business management, green transformation, and the role of women in business. The event will also feature an accompanying exhibition, currently accepting registrations, designed to assist local and international companies in showcasing products, connecting with customers, expanding export opportunities, and learning about innovations and standards in the halal industry.
