OIC Condemns Opening of So-Called ‘Somaliland’ Embassy in Occupied Jerusalem

Jerusalem: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the opening of an embassy in occupied Jerusalem by the so-called 'Somaliland,' affirming that the measure is illegal and constitutes a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations and relevant UN resolutions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the General Secretariat affirmed that Israel, the occupying power, has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem and that all decisions and measures aimed at altering its political, legal, or demographic status are null and void under international law.

The OIC reiterated its full solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia and expressed unwavering support for its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The organization called on the international community to take a firm stance against this illegal move and confront it.
