Jeddah: Executive Director of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Hadi Al-Yami received the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Jeddah and OIC Special Representative Andrea Christ. They exchanged views on a range of human rights issues of mutual interest.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on promoting tolerance and interfaith dialogue, protecting fundamental rights and freedoms, and addressing contemporary human rights challenges through comprehensive and cooperative approaches.

They emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and partnership, highlighting the role of multilateral cooperation in addressing current human rights issues. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in areas of shared interest and expressed their intention to pursue initiatives that contribute to promoting and protecting human rights in line with internationally agreed standards.
