OIC Secretary-General Participates in the “Hajj Expo” and Appreciates the Saudi Initiative to Facilitate the Hajj 1444 Season and Saudi Decision of the Return of Hajj without Conditions

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, participated in the Hajj and Umrah Services Exhibition “Hajj Expo”, the largest of its kind specializing in Hajj and Umrah services, whose activities began in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, on 09 January 2023 until the 12 January 2023. The OIC countries also participated in this big ceremony, which constituted an opportunity to sign bilateral agreements regulating Hajj between the countries participating in this ritual and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the same context, the Secretary-General expressed his warmest ccongratulations and good wishes to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Islamic Summit in its current session, and the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi government and the Saudi people for the return of Hajj 1444 season to what it was before the COVID-19 pandemic without conditions or age restrictions.

The Secretary-General also valued this blessed return as an episode of the successes of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its efforts within its generosity and hospitality to the guests of Al-Rahman, and its keenness on optimal organization of Hajj and commitment to health procedures leading to a safe return, and the good management of the authorities supervising the organization of this ritual and harnessing all capabilities for its success and for the pilgrims to perform their rituals in an easy, organized and safe manner. The OIC Secretary General expressed his full confidence in the ability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to continue its blessed path in securing an exemplary and exceptional Hajj season.

H.E. the OIC Secretary-General also extended his thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, for their generosity in reducing the insurance of pilgrims by 73 percent, in order to facilitate and reduce the costs of Hajj for the pilgrims, stressing that this is what Muslims everywhere have become accustomed to in terms of generosity and support that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always provides to the Muslim world voluntarily and in obedience to Allah the Almighty.

The Secretary-General prayed to Allah the Almighty to, out of His generosity and mercy, bestow success, security and safety for the upcoming Hajj season, help and support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its benevolent endeavors and spread security to the pilgrims of the House of Allah, and to all Muslims.
