OIC Strongly Condemns Tearing of Copy of the Holy Quran by an Extremist in Netherlands
The secretariat general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned in the strongest terms the tearing of a copy of the Holy Quran by an extremist in The Hague, Netherlands, in one of the most provocative scenarios to the feelings of Muslims all over the world.
In a statement, the Secretariat General of OIC reiterated that such behavior fuels feelings of Islamphobia in the world and works against calls for co-existence and freedom of belief.
OIC underscored the importance of encouraging dialogue, understanding and cooperation among religions, cultrues and civilizations and rejection of hatred and extremism to achieve peace and amicability in the world.
