OIC Welcomes Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza

Jeddah: Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha has welcomed the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. The secretary-general expressed hope that the agreement would lead to a permanent and comprehensive cessation of Israeli aggression, the return of displaced persons to their homes, the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, and the unhindered and adequate delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Hissein Brahim Taha called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by implementing UN resolutions related to the Palestinian cause. He emphasized the need to end the Israeli occupation and enable the Palestinian people to reclaim their legitimate rights, including the realization of sovereignty over their independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
