Over 1.2 Million Health Services Delivered to Pilgrims by 10th of Dhu Al-Hijjah

Mecca: The health system has delivered more than 1,206,035 healthcare services to pilgrims since the start of the Hajj season and through the 10th of Dhu Al-Hijjah, said Ministry of Health Spokesperson Abdulaziz Abdulbaqi.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the services are part of integrated efforts to enhance healthcare service quality and improve access to care, thereby safeguarding the pilgrims' health. The efforts align with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, ensuring pilgrims perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.

Ministry data indicates that 49,931 beneficiaries received services through healthcare and urgent care centers, while emergency departments handled 41,782 cases. Outpatient clinics received 14,501 visits, and 4,901 patients were admitted to hospitals.

The data also showed that 29 open-heart surgeries, 251 catheterization procedures, and 337 various surgical operations were carried out.

Moreover, medical teams responded immediately and efficiently to 466 cases of heat exhaustion as part of a field system designed to ensure rapid response and enhance medical intervention across different locations. The unified call center (937) also received more than 1,082,628 calls.

The health system continues to operate at high efficiency through proactive planning and an integrated and advanced healthcare network, ensuring safe medical care for pilgrims. These efforts reflect the health system's ongoing commitment to providing the highest standards of care throughout the Hajj season.
