Mario Aoun says thrashing out Christian ‘knot’ does not beget final solution
Member of Parliament, Mario Aoun, said on Monday that resolving the inter-Christian cabinet formation "knot" did not signify reaching a final solution to the formation process.
Interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker urged Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri to continue his contacts in order to iron out obstacles hindering the formation of the government.
The lawmaker also disclosed the Free Patriotic Movement's willingness to reconsider its request for a share of 11 ministers and 10 others from the president.
Regarding contacts with the Lebanese Forces, MP Aoun noted that the party made concessions on a sovereign ministerial portfolio in return for four service portfolios.
