Preliminary results in the Turkish Presidential elections, after counting 91% of the votes

The results of the Turkish elections showed that the candidate of the ruling People's Alliance, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is ahead of his competitors.

After counting 91.1% of the votes, the Turkish state channel "TRT" stated that the preliminary results of the Presidential elections in Turkey were as follows:

Recep Tayyip Erdogan: 50.01%

Muharram Engeh (withdrew): 0.47%

Kemal Kilicdaroglu: 44.21%

Sinan Ogan: 5.30%.

Head of the Turkish Supreme Electoral Commission, Ahmed Yanar, announced that the voting process in the presidential and parliamentary elections throughout the country had been completed without problems.

This came in a statement on Sunday after the completion of the voting process throughout Turkey, with the advent of 17:00 Sunday afternoon local time.

Sources from the Turkish opposition told the Russian Agency "Tass" that: "According to preliminary information, the participation rate in the Turkish elections reached 93.6% at the presidential and parliamentary levels, and this is a record number."

The Turkish Central Elections Commission did not release data on the participation rate.
