President of Saudi Journalists Association awarded Pioneers Award from Supreme Media Council in Egypt

Cairo— Egyptian Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) Karam Gabr, handed yesterday the “Pioneers” award to the President of the Saudi Journalists Association, editor-in-chief of Al-Jazirah newspaper, Khalid bin Hamad Al-Malik, in a ceremony organized by the council at Salah El-Din Castle, on the sidelines of the meetings of Arab Ministers of Information, in the presence of ministers and delegations participating in the meetings, senior journalists and media professionals.
Al-Malik was honored for his press and media contributions to shaping awareness and knowledge, countering extremist and destructive ideas, defending the Arab countries’ causes, especially the Palestinian cause, and in appreciation of the efforts he made in supporting the Arab press and journalism.
