Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University Secures Five US Patents in Advanced Nanotechnology

Riyadh: Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University: Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University achieved a significant scientific accomplishment by obtaining five patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office for advanced scientific innovations in nanotechnology.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the innovations were developed by a research team from the College of Science and Humanities in Al-Kharj as part of the university's ongoing efforts to support scientific research and innovation, strengthen the research ecosystem, and enhance knowledge production in line with national development goals.

The innovative portfolio included patents related to the manufacturing of sensors, smart materials, and doped nanomaterials designed for multiple biological applications. These advanced scientific solutions contribute to the energy, environmental, and medical sectors, in addition to improving the efficiency of hydrogen peroxide production and detection, thereby supporting developmental and economic impact.

The achievement reflects the university's commitment to providing a stimulating research environment and encouraging faculty members and researchers to deliver pioneering scientific contributions aimed at advancing the Kingdom's research ecosystem and boosting the university's role as a knowledge partner that supports an innovation-driven economy in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
