Riyadh: Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, through its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, has contributed to empowering female students, university staff, and others interested in innovation and entrepreneurship over the past academic year. According to Saudi Press Agency, the center provided diverse programs and initiatives to develop skills and turn promising ideas into projects and opportunities with economic and social impact. The center recorded several notable achievements, including joining the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) as an accredited member and the National Alliance for Innovation Districts in partnership with the Research, Development and Innovation Authority. It also implemented the University Startup Accelerator in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at). In addition, it launched the CODE AI artificial intelligence incubator, which helped graduate eight startups. Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Maram Sabri said the achievements reflect the growing innovation ecosystem at the university. They also highlight the center's role in turning promising ideas into opportunities and projects with economic and social impact. She added that the center's continued efforts to build strategic partnerships and empower innovative national talent strengthen the university's position and contribute to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. During the academic year, the center organized a range of activities in innovation and entrepreneurship. The activities involved students, university staff, and visitors and included training programs, workshops, boot camps, and competitions. The center also established four partnerships that supported knowledge transfer and the development of entrepreneurial and innovation skills within the university community. The center continues to support Princess Nourah University's transformation into an environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Its efforts include developing entrepreneurial capabilities, incubating promising ideas and projects, and strengthening the university's intellectual property ecosystem. These efforts contribute to the knowledge economy and support greater participation by women in innovation, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
