Prophet’s Mosque Friday Sermon Focuses on Safeguarding Family Stability, Marital Bonds

Riyadh: Imam Sheikh Hussein Al Al-Sheikh affirmed in his Friday sermon that Islam builds the marital relationship on a foundation of affection and mercy, prioritizing family stability. He emphasized that ending a marriage should only ever be a last resort to prevent harm, utilized after exhausting all possible avenues of reconciliation, patience, and mutual understanding.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the imam cautioned against treating family commitments lightly or making impulsive decisions that disrupt domestic life. He highlighted that preserving a stable household requires both partners to safeguard their bond and avoid actions that threaten the unity of the home without a clear necessity.
