Rainfall Revitalizes Umm Udhun’s Desert Landscape

Rafha:Rainfall over the past two days has dramatically transformed the desert landscape of Umm Udhun, located west of the Rafha Governorate in the Northern Borders Region. The recent rains have led to floodwaters spreading across vast stretches of land, carving winding streams among the desert shrubs and wild plants.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the water has accumulated in depressions and ravines, further spreading across open plains. This has resulted in shrubs and wild plants emerging from pools that reflect the blue of the sky.

The rainfall has brought renewal to the desert, reviving the vegetation cover and supporting the region's natural pastures.
