Seoul:Red Sea Labs, an initiative under the Red Sea Film Foundation, has proceeded with the seventh edition of its Feature Films Program in Seoul, Korea, in collaboration with Film Independent. This initiative is designed to support filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Asia, and Africa by nurturing emerging talent and advancing their film projects.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program in Seoul included workshops and specialized sessions aimed at film project development and knowledge-sharing among industry professionals. These activities were structured to enhance the creative and professional dimensions of the participating projects, preparing them for subsequent production and marketing stages.

An integral part of the program was a discussion under the "Inspire" series, which examined the potential of stories rooted in local cultures to engage global audiences while maintaining their authenticity and cultural identity.

The current edition of the program supports 12 film projects, comprising three from Saudi Arabia and nine international ones. These projects are placed on specialized development tracks that cover various aspects such as screenwriting, directing, and production, under the mentorship of film industry experts.

The ultimate goal of the program is to prepare these projects for international film markets by connecting their teams with producers, distributors, and potential supporters. The journey of the participating teams will continue in Los Angeles, where they will further develop their projects before showcasing them at the Red Sea Souk during the upcoming Red Sea International Film Festival.
