Stockholm: Chairman of the Swedish Fatwa Council Sheikh Saeed Azzam and Grand Chairman of Darulfatwa Australia Sheikh Salim Alwan condemned the threats and attacks against Saudi Arabia, particularly the targeting of Makkah, stressing that any threat to the Two Holy Mosques and Muslim holy sites is unacceptable and that their security is a shared Islamic concern.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement, the council strongly condemned the actions and threats by the Houthi militia that undermine the security and stability of the Kingdom. It called for intensified international and regional efforts to halt threats targeting civilians and holy sites, respect international law, and strengthen the Kingdom's security and regional stability.

Alwan stressed that threatening either of the Two Holy Mosques is a direct assault on Muslim holy sites, not merely a military escalation. He said Makkah and Madinah are unifying symbols of the Muslim Ummah and prayed to Allah Almighty to protect the Two Holy Mosques and preserve their security and stability.
