Riyadh: The Roads General Authority (RGA) highlighted Taif Governorate's advanced road network as a vital artery enhancing its position as one of the Kingdom's leading mountain tourism destinations, noting that the roads sector remains a fundamental pillar and enabler for development, particularly tourism. The network facilitates access for visitors and tourists to the governorate's parks, natural attractions, and heritage villages.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the main land route for travelers from Riyadh to Taif extends approximately 790 kilometers, starting from Riyadh and passing through Al-Quwayiyah, Al-Humiyat, and Dhalm before reaching Taif, with the journey taking between seven and eight hours.

As part of efforts to strengthen infrastructure, the roads sector in Makkah Region in general, and Taif in particular, has witnessed significant development that has contributed positively to tourism growth. This is reflected in the development and expansion of road networks leading to the governorate and its tourist destinations, underscoring the roads sector's role as a vital artery and key enabler of development sectors, foremost among them tourism.

Taif Governorate is one of the most important governorates in Makkah Region and a prominent local and regional tourist destination, thanks to its mild summer climate and diverse natural and cultural attractions.
