Riyadh:The Roads General Authority (RGA) has announced the benefits of a new road surface improvement technology, emphasizing its role as an advanced preventive maintenance method. This technology is specifically designed to tackle surface cracks and enhance the condition of existing pavements, thereby extending the service life of roads and improving maintenance efficiency without necessitating a full repaving process.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the RGA detailed that this technology not only seals surface cracks but also enhances skid resistance and preserves the pavement layers, preventing further surface deterioration. Additionally, it improves surface uniformity and the overall appearance of roads, significantly enhancing safety for all road users.

The RGA also highlighted that the rapid application of this technology minimizes maintenance work's impact on traffic flow. The cold-applied process is considered environmentally friendly, as it requires no heating, thereby reducing material and energy consumption, carbon emissions, and future maintenance costs, ultimately improving economic efficiency.
