Riyadh: In partnership with the Riyadh Expo 2030 project, the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority has released several wildlife species, including 80 spiny-tailed lizards, into the reserve. This initiative is part of environmental monitoring efforts accompanying the development of the Expo 2030 site, reflecting a commitment to integrating major infrastructure projects with biodiversity preservation and sustainability.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the release sites were selected based on field studies to ensure habitat suitability. Specialized teams are utilizing monitoring technologies to track the species' adaptation and behavior. By reintroducing these animals into their natural habitats, the project supports ecological balance and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals for environmental protection.

Riyadh Expo 2030 reaffirmed that its commitment to sustainability extends beyond infrastructure to include the responsible management of surrounding ecosystems and the protection of native wildlife.
