Riyadh: The FDI Regional Congress and Saudi International Dental Conference (SIDC) launched Thursday at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC), attracting over 8,000 male and female doctors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference is organized by the Saudi Dental Society, affiliated with King Saud University under the patronage of Governor of the Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz. FDI president Greg Chadwick and King Saud University acting president Abdullah Salman Alsalman are among the attendees, along with numerous specialists from the field.
Ziyad Allahem, the president of the Saudi Dental Society and chairman of the event, highlighted that this year’s SIDC is the first edition to take place in collaboration with the FDI. The conference features an extensive scientific program, including 145 lectures and 30 scientific sessions across various dental specialties, along with 36 workshops that have drawn participation from over 800 doctors and students.
Additionally, the event includes a specialized exhibition spanning 13,000 square meters, showcasing the latest innovations in dentistry with participation from 165 international companies.
