Riyadh: Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and on his behalf, Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz will attend next Friday at The Ritz-Carlton the closing ceremony honoring the winners of the local competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran for males in its 27th session.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the closing ceremony honoring the female winners of the competition will be held under the patronage of Princess Fahda bint Falah Al Hathleen, spouse of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, on Thursday evening, the second day of the holy month of Ramadan. The competition was organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance from February 13 to 17, with total prizes exceeding SAR7 million.
During the male and female ceremonies, the winners of the final rounds will be crowned in the top three positions across the competition's six categories. Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and General Supervisor of local and international Quranic competitions Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh explained that the competition has received generous support and continuous patronage from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, along with close follow-up by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, until it has become one of the Kingdom's most prominent national competitions in memorizing the Holy Quran. He noted that the level of support allocated to the competition has continued to increase, motivating male and female participants to excel and encouraging outstanding achievement.
