Riyadh: The Roads General Authority has unveiled five principal land routes connecting Riyadh to the Jazan Region, offering travelers varied distances and travel times. This initiative aims to enhance exploration of Saudi Arabia's rich agricultural and tourism destinations, providing multiple transit options.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative is part of a broader strategic partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority. It aims to utilize Saudi Arabia's extensive road network, which spans over 73,000 kilometers and ranks first globally in the Road Connectivity Index. This collaboration supports regional economic and tourism growth, making the road network a vital enabler.

These key routes offer seamless access to Jazan's diverse environments, including coastal plains, mountains, and valleys, while also serving as a gateway to the Farasan Islands. Jazan is positioned as a major logistical hub on the Red Sea, anchored by Jazan Port, and is celebrated for its heritage attractions and premier agricultural yields, particularly Saudi coffee and mangoes.

The ongoing development of these routes highlights the Roads General Authority's dedication to advancing safety, quality, and traffic density standards. This ensures secure and smooth transit across all regions of the Kingdom, reinforcing the authority's commitment to the sector's growth.
