Alula: The Royal Commission for AlUla is actively contributing to regional biodiversity and ecological balance across northwestern Saudi Arabia by managing six nature reserves. These reserves are strategically situated in Sharaan, Gharameel, Harrat AlZabin, Harrat Uwayrid, Wadi Al-Nakhlah, and the commission-supervised Khaybar reserve.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the comprehensive environmental preservation efforts focus on ecosystem restoration, land rehabilitation, and native plant cultivation to increase vegetation cover. These activities are in direct alignment with the Saudi Green Initiative, which has successfully designated approximately 50% of AlUla's total area as protected zones so far.

Covering an area of 1,543 square kilometers, the Sharaan National Park is a leading example in the region for wildlife restoration and the sustainable use of natural resources.
