SASA Utilizes Smart Technologies for Pilgrim Guidance During Hajj

Makkah: The public service camps organized by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association (SASA) in Makkah and the Holy Sites continue conducting field surveys as part of preparations to guide pilgrims during this year's Hajj season. The efforts involve scouts, youth members, and scout leaders.

According to Saudi Press Agency, scout units are deployed morning and evening across various locations in the Holy Sites to monitor routes and camps, update data, and identify guidance points. The work is carried out in accordance with a field plan to facilitate pilgrims' movement and enhance the efficiency of guidance services during the Hajj season.

The scout units conduct the surveys using an integrated technological system that includes location tracking and guidance-point identification. The system relies on an electronic application rather than paper maps, providing more accurate guidance and faster access to locations within the Holy Sites.

These efforts are part of a comprehensive national framework implemented in cooperation with relevant authorities to provide safe and convenient services to the pilgrims, reflecting the humanitarian and volunteer role that SASA plays each year in serving pilgrims.
