Saudi-Algerian Friendship Committee Delegation meets Ministers of Relations with Parliament, Industry, Energy and Mines

Algiers– The delegation of the Saudi-Algerian Friendship Committee of the Shura Council, headed by the Council member Assaf bin Salem Abu Thuneen, currently on a visit to Algeria, has met with the Minister of Relations with Parliament Basma Azouar.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of such meetings in promoting joint work between the Shura Council and the Algerian Parliament.

In turn, the head of the Saudi delegation praised the depth of the strong relationship and partnership between the two countries, indicating that this visit comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s keenness to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in all fields.

On the other hand, Minister of Industry Ahmed Zghdar and Minister of Energy and Mines Ahmed Arkab have met at the National Assembly headquarters the delegation of the Saudi-Algerian Friendship Committee of the Shura Council.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially in the industrial and energy sectors and prospects for their development, food and manufacturing industries, and basic materials.

The two parties stressed the importance of investment meetings and forums in the two countries to discuss partnership and investment opportunities in Algeria, especially within the framework of the new investment law that gives guarantees, incentives and greater privileges to local and foreign investors.

The meetings were attended by Saudi Ambassador to Algeria Dr. Abdullah Al-Busairi.
