Dodoma:The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has partnered with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to launch a new agricultural initiative in Dodoma, Tanzania. This project involves planting 3,000 date palm seedlings and providing training to local farmers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative is designed to enhance drought resilience and diversity in local incomes by establishing pilot agricultural fields. It includes the provision of irrigation systems, agricultural machinery, and training for farmers and extension staff. The project aims to directly benefit 250 smallholders and indirectly impact around 1,150 individuals in the region.

The launch event was attended by several notable figures, including Saudi Ambassador to Tanzania Yahya Okeish, Tanzanian Deputy Minister of Agriculture David Silinde, and FAO Representative Nyabenyi Tipo, among other officials. This effort underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment through KSrelief to promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing food security in Tanzania.
