Kathmandu: Saudi Arabia and Nepal have formalized an air transport services agreement, marking a significant development in their bilateral relations. The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia, represented by Executive Vice President for Air Transport and International Cooperation Ali Rajab, signed the agreement with the Government of Nepal, represented by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jaya Narayan Acharya. The signing took place during an official visit to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement is designed to establish a structured and safe framework for air transport between the two nations. This framework aims to keep pace with ongoing developments in bilateral regulation, ensuring that air transport services are conducted efficiently and securely.

During the official visit, Ali Rajab also met with Nepal's Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Paudel. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the fields of civil aviation and tourism, indicating a shared commitment to strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and Nepal.
