Jeddah: Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh and Grand Mufti of Tanzania Sheikh Dr. Abubakar Zuber Bin Ally signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in Islamic affairs fields. The signing ceremony took place in Jeddah on Thursday.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU outlines collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Tanzania by exchanging expertise among specialists, sharing research, books, and scientific publications in multiple languages, and organizing training for khatibs, imams, and preachers. It also includes participation of scholars and preachers in Islamic conferences and seminars held in both countries, along with any additional areas agreed upon in the future.
The agreement reflects the distinguished and strong bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Tanzania and their shared commitment to promoting joint cooperation in various fields, including Islamic affairs.
At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, the minister presented the Tanzanian grand mufti with a special edition of publications from the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex.
