Saudi Arabia Applauds Detainee Exchange Agreement Signed in Amman

Jeddah: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses its endorsement of the agreement signed in Amman, Jordan, for the exchange of detainees in Yemen. This development is seen as a significant step towards alleviating the humanitarian plight of detainees and their families, while also fostering trust and enhancing prospects for security and stability in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom acknowledges the efforts by all parties involved in reaching this agreement. It also recognizes the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for hosting the negotiations over recent months. The Saudi government commends the contributions of the Office of the Special Envoy of the United Nations to Yemen and the International Committee of the Red Cross in facilitating this agreement.

Saudi Arabia reaffirms its commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at achieving peace, security, and stability, aligning with the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
