Saudi Arabia Highlights Growing Global Role in Infrastructure at Paris Infraweek 2025


Paris: CEO of the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority Khaled Alkhattaf led the Kingdom’s delegation as the guest of honor at the opening of Paris Infraweek 2025, an annual international event in the French capital, where he highlighted the growing global significance of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure sector.



According to Saudi Press Agency, in his keynote address, Alkhattaf emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its position as both a regional and global leader in infrastructure development. He outlined the ambitious transformation underway as part of Vision 2030, which is driving innovation, sustainability, and new avenues for international collaboration. Central to this vision is the attraction of foreign investment and the advancement of mega-development projects.



He also shared that Saudi Arabia is set to invest approximately $1 trillion in infrastructure over the coming years, spanning multiple sectors such as communications, information technology, healthcare, education, and industrial zones. He highlighted that 50% of this investment will be directed toward critical areas such as energy, water, and transportation.



During the event, the Saudi delegation presented the Kingdom’s infrastructure strategy and explored investment opportunities in key sectors such as railways and major projects. They also discussed opportunities for enhanced cooperation ahead of landmark events in Saudi Arabia, such as Expo 2030 in Riyadh and the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Alkhattaf and his delegation engaged in a series of meetings with international officials to forge stronger economic and investment partnerships, promote reciprocal investment, and expand collaborations across various sectors.
