Saudi Arabia Launches Campaign for World Mental Health Day

Accra:The National Center for Mental Health Promotion has initiated a nationwide campaign to commemorate World Mental Health Day, observed annually on October 10. This year's theme is "Lived Experiences Heard Real Voices, Real Change."

According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign is organized in collaboration with government, private, and non-profit partners. It aims to reduce stigma surrounding mental health, promote early intervention, and integrate mental healthcare into overall wellness. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Quality of Life Program.

The campaign focuses on learning from individuals with lived experiences to enhance patient care journeys, which include prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation. It also aims to expand access to mental health services through primary healthcare centers and digital health platforms.
