The meetings of the Executive Council of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons began in The Hague at its 103rd session, which will be held from 11 to 14 July 2023.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participates in these meetings with a delegation led by the Saudi Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom's permanent representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Ziyad bin Maashi Al-Attiyah.

In the Kingdom's speech, Ambassador Al-Attiyah affirmed the Kingdom's support for the draft resolution on establishing a working group for geographical representation.

He also expressed his aspiration that the draft resolution would be adopted by consensus, calling on the Council's member states to support the draft resolution in a way that helps achieve equitable geographical representation in the organisation's tasks.
