Saudi Assistant Minister of Culture Discusses Cultural Cooperation with Japanese Official

Diriyah: Assistant Minister of Culture Rakan bin Ibrahim Altouq met today in Diriyah’s Al-Bujairi District with Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Hisashi Matsumoto.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Altouq discussed the growing Saudi-Japanese cultural relations, emphasizing the Saudi Ministry of Culture’s commitment to expanding the scope of cultural cooperation and exchange in various cultural fields throughout this year and beyond. The year 2025 holds particular significance as it marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan. Altouq also highlighted the Kingdom’s plans to participate in a national pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka, further showcasing the robust cultural ties between the two nations.
