Malham: Two falcons were sold for a total of SAR236,000 at the 18th session of the Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2025 yesterday, held at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the auction, hosted during the Kingdom’s annual falconry season from October 1 to November 30, is a major event for locally captured falcons. It reinforces the Kingdom’s cultural identity, helps pass falconry expertise to new generations, and provides a significant economic boost to the hundreds of participating falconers.
To support this traditional hobby, the Saudi Falcons Club offers falconers a range of services, including transportation, accommodation, and sales documentation. The auction is also widely broadcast on television and social media, facilitating the promotion and development of this longstanding practice.
