Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources meets with business leaders during his official visit to Australia

Sydney, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, has met with several business leaders, during his official visit to Australia, on the sidelines of participation in the International Mining and Resources Conference + EXPO (IMARC), held in Sydney, Australia, from November 2 to 4, 2022.

Al-Khorayef held a series of meetings including meetings with EMR Capital CEO Owen Hegarty OAM, Australian Made CEO Ben Lazzaro, BHP CEO Mike Henry, Newcrest Development Director Seil Song, and Anduril Chairman and CEO David Goodrich, in addition to meeting with LME CEO Matthew Chamberlain, Austmine CEO Kristen Gibbs Stewart, and Thiess CEO Michael Wright.

During the meetings, they discussed investment opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors, and areas of cooperation to contribute to promoting the growth and development of the two sectors, and achieving their ambitious goals, in addition to discussing chances of benefiting from successful international experiences and exchanging expertise with Australia, in its capacity as one of the key mining countries globally.

The meetings come within the Saudi delegation’s official visit to Australia, to introduce investment opportunities in the mining sector in the Kingdom, under the umbrella of “Invest in Saudi Arabia”.
