Saudi Olympic Team beats Tajikistan by a clean five in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup

Riyadh– The Saudi Olympic team started its campaign in the AFC U-23 Cup, with an important victory over Tajikistan (5-0), in the match that brought the two teams together at Lokomotiv Stadium in Uzbekistan, in the first round of the tournament.

The Green’s player Hamad Al-Yami scored the first goal in the 42nd minute, followed by Ayman Yahya who added the second in the 50th minute. The team’s well-played performance resulted in scoring the third gold by Haitham Asiri in the 68th minute, and Moteb Al-Harbi scored the fourth goal in the 85th minute, while Abdullah Radif concluded the sheet by scoring the fifth goal in 90 + 7 minutes of the match.

With this result, the Olympic team secures the first 3 points in the continental championship, to lead the first group, with a difference in goals over Japan, "the runner-up", which will meet the “Greens” in the second round at Pakhtakor Central Stadium, next Monday, in the fourth group, while Tajikistan and the UAE will face each other at Lokomotiv Stadium on the same day.
