Saudi Paralympic Committee Signs MoU with Polish Counterpart


Seoul: Head of the Saudi delegation Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with President of the Polish Paralympic Committee Lukasz Szeliga to strengthen cooperation, exchange expertise in developing programs and tournaments, and enhance services for Paralympic athletes in both countries. The signing took place during the General Assembly of the Committee, which concluded Saturday in Seoul, in the presence of CEO and Secretary-General of the Committee Abdulaziz Baeshen, along with heads of continental and national Paralympic committees and federations.



According to Saudi Press Agency, on the sidelines of the meetings, Prince Fahad bin Jalawi met with Chief of Sport at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee Rocky Harris, where they discussed areas of cooperation and exchange of expertise in a way that contributes to the development of Paralympic sport and the strengthening of international partnerships.



In a related context, Brazilian Andrew Parsons won the presidency of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for a third four-year term, receiving 109 votes against 68 for his South Korean rival Dong Bae. He will therefore continue to lead the IPC until 2028, having first assumed the position in 2017.
