Saudi Red Crescent Authority Official Honored with GCC Award

Riyadh:Munerah Alhamzah, Director of the General Administration for Volunteering at the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA), has been awarded a prestigious civil service and administrative development award by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for her significant contributions to institutional volunteering and emergency medical services.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Alhamzah has led transformative digital initiatives within the SRCA, including the development of a digital volunteering platform, a volunteer incentive program, and the Al-Mustajeeb App. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding specialized emergency volunteer programs across the country, particularly during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.

These initiatives have engaged over 332,000 volunteers in 152,000 activities, accumulating more than 8.3 million volunteer hours. This recognition underscores the increasing empowerment of Saudi women in executive positions within the health and humanitarian sectors, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program's goals of fostering administrative innovation and enhancing community involvement in life-saving efforts.
