Riyadh: Coinciding with the peak of the summer season, Saudi Arabia's retail markets are seeing a significant surge in demand for locally grown peaches, with annual production exceeding 31,000 tons as consumers seek the high-quality fruit grown primarily in Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Aseer, and Al-Baha for its distinctive taste and superior quality.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has highlighted that local peach varieties thrive in the Kingdom's environment through a targeted promotional campaign. Beyond fresh consumption, the abundant harvest also supports the regional food processing sector, including the development of specialized medical and cosmetic products.

To build on this success, the ministry continues to empower local farmers through a comprehensive support system that provides technical guidance, financing facilities, and modern agricultural technologies. By strengthening supply and marketing chains through seasonal local exhibitions, the ministry ensures the efficient delivery of national products to consumers, directly supporting the strategic food security and economic goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
