Saudi-South African Roundtable Meeting Held to Develop Investment Relations between Two Countries

Jeddah– A Saudi-South African roundtable meeting was held today in Jeddah in the presence of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Tourism Ahmad Al-Khatib, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef, South African Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition Ebrahim Patel, and the participation of Saudi and South African entrepreneur companies, the Federation of Saudi Chambers and representatives of the private sectors and companies from the two sides.
The meeting aimed at developing investment ties between the two countries, enhancing efforts to further develop economic and investment bonds, developing the qualitative investments of entrepreneur companies in the two countries and enabling the private sector to benefit from investment opportunities in the two countries.
The meeting’s agenda included presentations by Saudi and South African companies, opportunities to develop their businesses and means to address challenges facing the companies in a bid to enhance business and investments in fields like energy, renewable energy, mining, agriculture, food, tourism, logistics, and ICT, among others.
The meeting is a step to support the outcomes of the Saudi-South African Investment Forum that was held yesterday and reviewed investment opportunities between the two countries with the participation of several officials from the two countries and representatives of the private sectors and companies.
