Saudi Sports for All Federation and King Abdulaziz University Join Forces to Boost Physical Activity on Campus

Riyadh: The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with King Abdulaziz University (KAU) to promote physical activity among students and strengthen the presence of community sport across the university environment. The partnership aims to encourage healthier and more active lifestyles while supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU was signed by President of the Saudi Sports for All Federation Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal and President of King Abdulaziz University Dr. Tareef bin Yousuf Alaama. The signing ceremony was attended by Managing Director of the SFA Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, alongside representatives from the university and the federation. Commenting on the partnership, Prince Khaled emphasized the importance of universities in shaping the habits and behaviours of young people. He stated that enabling young people to be physically active within the environments they engage with every day is a direct investment in a healthier and more thriving future. The partnership with King Abdulaziz University aims to activate campus spaces and incorporate physical activity into student life, supporting quality of life and contributing to the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030. Al-Husseini expressed the federation's dedication to designing accessible community sport programmes that cater to different segments of society, particularly young people and students. The partnership is seen as an opportunity to integrate community sport into university life through practical programmes and supportive environments. The agreement focuses on promoting community sport through an approach inspired by Saudi culture, while supporting the implementation of a range of SFA programmes and initiatives in collaboration with King Abdulaziz University. These include sporting events, participation-based activities, and student-focused engagement programmes. The partnership will leverage the university's facilities and resources to create grea ter opportunities for students to incorporate physical activity into their daily routines. Through its programmes, initiatives, and strategic partnerships, the Saudi Sports for All Federation continues to expand opportunities for physical activity across the Kingdom, helping people of all ages and backgrounds lead healthier and more active lives.
