Riyadh: The Saudi Standards Team will participate in the 21st International Standards Olympiad 2026, hosted in Goyang, Republic of Korea, from August 12 to 14, with the participation of 13 countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the 12 students representing Saudi Arabia at the Olympiad are from middle and secondary schools and are divided into four teams. They were selected and prepared through a comprehensive qualification program jointly organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).

The International Standards Olympiad, held annually in the Republic of Korea since 2006, aims to raise awareness among middle and secondary school students of standards, metrology, and quality concepts. It also encourages them to exchange new ideas on standards and modern technologies.
