SDAIA and SAAC Announce MoU to Enhance AI and Data Reliability at LEAP 2026

Riyadh: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today to enhance cooperation between the two entities in the areas of accreditation and conformity assessment for data and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. The MoU also aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge and develop human capabilities, thereby enhancing quality and reliability in these fields. The signing took place during the fifth edition of LEAP 2026, held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU includes exploring avenues of cooperation in conformity assessment for data and AI initiatives, utilizing accreditation services for auditing and reviewing personal data processing activities, issuing accreditation certificates to data controllers and processors, and collaborating on training and qualification programs, including exploring the utilization of specialized training programs offered by both parties.
