SDAIA Promotes Responsible AI Innovation in Education Through AI Sandbox Initiative

Qassim: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has strengthened responsible artificial intelligence (AI) innovation in education through the AI Sandbox in Digital Learning initiative, led by the National eLearning Center as part of an integrated national ecosystem. The initiative forms part of SDAIA's ongoing efforts to support the responsible use of AI across vital sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, SDAIA contributed to all three phases of the initiative by participating in the evaluation process and providing technical and advisory support to participating teams. These efforts helped advance AI-based educational solutions and test them in safe, real-world environments, enhancing their readiness for broader implementation.

The authority's participation reflects its role in promoting the responsible use of AI and aligning technological solutions with national priorities in education and digital transformation, further reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a global model for responsible educational innovation.

The initiative has also received international recognition. The World Bank documented the Kingdom's experience in leveraging AI in education, describing it as a pioneering national model that countries and education systems can draw upon to advance responsible innovation and improve the quality of digital education.
