Severe Weather Conditions Expected Across Multiple Regions in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms, accompanied by hail, are predicted to hit several regions in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, potentially leading to flash floods. Affected areas include Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, and Najran.

According to Saudi Press Agency, gusty winds are anticipated to stir dust in these regions, as well as in the northern parts of the Eastern Region, and parts of Tabuk, Riyadh, and Qassim. Additionally, fog formation is likely during the night and early morning hours along the coastal areas of the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf.

Winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 15-35 km/h, with southeasterly to southwesterly winds reaching 10-50 km/h. Wave heights may vary from half a meter to over two meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are anticipated to range from southwesterly to northwesterly at 10-25 km/h and northwesterly to northeasterly at 10-30 km/h. Waves are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, making the sea relatively calm.
