Shura Council Secretary General Engages with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Delegation on Bilateral Cooperation

Riyadh: Secretary General of the Shura Council Mohammed Al-Mutairi met with a delegation from the Regional Programme Gulf States of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) at the council's headquarters in Riyadh. The discussions centered around the council's legislative and oversight roles, as well as strengthening ties between regional and international legislative bodies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the delegation was led by Philipp Dienstbier, Director of the Regional Programme, and included several German parliamentary staff members and experts. Al-Mutairi provided an overview of the council's responsibilities, including its mechanisms for reviewing matters referred to specialized committees.

Al-Mutairi emphasized the council's contribution to national development and its efforts in parliamentary diplomacy. The meeting also explored opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation to serve mutual interests and addressed several issues of common concern.
