SOPC Vice President, IOTC Chair Discuss Sports Cooperation

Riyadh: Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) Vice President Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed met in Riyadh with International Olympic Truce Centre (IOTC) Chair George Papandreou to discuss expanding cooperation in educational initiatives, personnel training, and the promotion of Olympic values across the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two sides also reviewed joint collaboration with the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association to boost sports participation across Islamic nations, aligning with the center's mission to foster peace and dialogue through sport.

Discussions touched on Saudi Arabia's role in advancing peace through athletic diplomacy and hosting major international sporting events that unite diverse nations around mutual respect and intercultural dialogue.

Papandreou commended the Kingdom's prominent role in championing the global Olympic movement and the Olympic truce, expressing his eagerness to expand cooperation with Saudi sports entities.
