Sports Strengthens Saudi Arabia’s Global Presence, Reflecting Founding Day Identity

According to Saudi Press Agency, in recent years, the Kingdom has hosted major sporting events and tournaments, providing an effective stage to showcase its cultural standing. Sports have moved beyond pure competition to serve as a cultural and humanitarian platform which highlights the Kingdom's history, authentic values, high organizational standards, and ability to balance modernity with deep-rooted heritage.

Linking sporting events to Founding Day underscores the role of sports as a pillar of the national project and an effective means of conveying historical heritage and cultural values to younger generations. Visual identity campaigns, accompanying events, and fan activities inspired by the symbolism of the founding highlight the spirit of heroism and unity upon which the Saudi state was built.

The Kingdom also built the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the country's first FIA Grade 1 circuit, in a record seven months to host the inaugural Saudi Arabia Grand Prix 2021 under F©d©ration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) standards. Stretching 6.176 kilometers with 27 high-speed turns, the circuit is among the longest and fastest street tracks on the Formula One calendar, enhancing its appeal to drivers and fans alike.

Hosting the FIA Formula One World Championship reflects a strategic investment in infrastructure and technology aligned with Saudi Vision 2030's economic diversification goals.
