Riyadh: The Syrian Arab Republic condemned the attack targeting two tankers belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as an unacceptable act of aggression and a violation of international law and the freedom of maritime navigation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued today, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Syria's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and Qatar and called on the international community to take serious action to protect international waterways and preserve regional security and stability.
