The Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal Al-Miqdad, arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at the head of a government delegation.

The official Syrian News Agency, SANA, said, "Foreign Minister and Expatriates, Faisal al-Miqdad, and his accompanying delegation arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at the invitation of his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah."

The invitation came "to participate in the second ministerial meeting of the Arab countries with the countries of the Pacific islands, which began its work today at the level of experts."
